Phyllis Stewart

Phyllis G. Stewart, 79, of Chillicothe, died at 6:25pm February 21, 2022, at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.   She was born August 28, 1942, in Dehue, WV, to the late Jay and Earthel (Adkins) Hall.  On September 7, 1960, she married Gerald G. Stewart, Sr., who preceded her in death January 8, 2010.  In addition, she was predeceased by her son Joe Stewart; her brothers Jay and Jerry Hall; and her sister Patty Eggleton.   Surviving are her children: L.J. (Irene) Stewart, Angie (Jeff) Allen, and John (Lea) Stewart; grandchildren: Crystal (Justin) McDonald, Erica (Brad Williamson) Corey, Michael Marek, Heather (C.J.) Dove, T.J. (Jordan) Stewart, Jeffrey (Neeley) Allen, Erika Allen, Jordan Allen and Laci Alkyer; great-grandchildren: Madison, Makenzie and Maci McDonald, Bentleigh, Keagan, Lilly and Brielle Dove, Rhilyn Bobb and Mirra Stewart, Maeley, Wyatt, Cora and Carson Allen; her siblings James Hall, Sue (Harry) Burnett, Lois Flynn, Pete (Sharon) Hall, Sandra (Rich) Neal, Wanda (Lance) Tyo, Jeannie Steier, Christina (Gary) Wilking and Cathy Bailey; in-laws Marlene Hall, Linda Hall and Cliff Eggleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.   Phyllis and her late husband were the owners/operators of Pizza Chef Gourmet Pizza from 1993-2015.  In her free time, she enjoyed visiting her home on the Ohio River, bird-watching, was an avid euchre player and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.    Her funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 26, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Dr. Ronald Stewart officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
