Phyllis Hines

Phyllis M. Hines, 76, of Chillicothe, died 9:20 am, Monday, May 18, 2009, in the Ohio State University Hospitals, following an extended illness. She was born September 24, 1932 in Chillicothe to Virgil L. and Iva M. Poole McKee. On September 15, 1950 she married Rev. H. Merrill Hines, who died September 22, 1976. Survivors include a son, Michael (Jennifer) Hines, of Chillicothe; 4 grandchildren, Pastor Aaron (Rachel) Hines, of Chillicothe, Samantha (Luke) Wren, of Lake City, FL, Tim (Jenny) Colburn, of Circleville, and Kim (Chris) Smith, Port Clinton, OH; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter Cinda Colburn. Mrs. Hines worked for Wal-Mart and was a member of Church Triumphant, where funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, with her grandson, Pastor Aaron Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Dunkard Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Haller Funeral Home.
