Phyllis Arledge

Phyllis A. Arledge, 74, of Chillicothe, passed away Tuesday evening, June 5, 2018, at her home following an extended illness. She was born July 26, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Dale Hunter and Esther Marie (Long) Moran. On May 6, 1994, she married Steven B. Arledge who survives. Also surviving are her three daughters, Deborah P. Burnett, of Chillicothe, Sue Lynn (Jimmy) Wade, of Kingston, and Ann Marie (Derek) Vallery, of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Jared Lee Wade, and Aja Magnolia "Maggie" Vallery, both of Chillicothe; two brothers, Dale E. (Connie) Moran, and Richard A. Moran, both of Chillicothe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Stepp, and a son-in-law, Gary Burnett. Phyllis worked in Histology at the Adena Regional Medical Center for many years before her retirement in December 2003. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Hallsville and active in the S.A.L.T. Council. She was also a member of the local "YaYa" group and a member of the First Pioneer Families of Ross County. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Crouse Chapel Cemetery.
