Philip Kanouse

Philip R. Kanouse, 83, of Chillicothe, died 7:10 am, March 31, 2011, at Heartland of Chillicothe, following a brief illness. He was born August 31, 1927 to Ernie and Della Arthur Kanouse. On May 2, 1954 he married Betty R. Jackson, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Phyllis Christman, Phila Wilbur, Dreama Carroll, Ricketta Shoemaker, Sherry Tatman, Madeline Moyers, William and Tolby Markham; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great, and great-great grandchildren. Mr. Kanouse was a World War II Army Veteran. He retired from the Chillicothe Correctional Institution after 30 years of service in corrections. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
