Peter Hill

Peter G. Hill, 82, of Chillicothe, died at 7:16am July 9, 2016, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital following a sudden stroke. He was born January 23, 1934, in Middlesex, England, to the late Cecil and Ethel (Clemas) Hill. On June 4, 1954, he married the former Ethel E. Pool, who survives. Also surviving are his children Kim (Don) Dobbins, of Texas, son Tracy Hill, Chillicothe; grandchildren Joe (Elaine) Salinas, Daniel Salinas and Amanda Salinas, all of Texas, and Maeryn Hill, Chillicothe; great-grandchildren Allyson, Andrea and Aribella Salinas, all of Texas; and a sister Joyce Moore, Chillicothe. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Cecil, Ronald and Dennis Hill. Pete worked as the maintenance supervisor for the campus of St. Peter Catholic Church, maintaining the grounds, facilities, St. Peter Elementary School and gardens until his retirement in 2007. He was proud to have become a naturalized citizen and loved gardening. Pete was a member of the Good Shepard Anglican Church. At his request, Pete has bequeathed his body to the Ohio State University Anatomical Program. There will be a private memorial service at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road Columbus, Ohio 43215.
