Pete Stearos

Pete Stearos, 78, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly November 9, 2005, at his home. He was born November 29, 1926, in Gallagher, WV to the late Theodore F. and Fanny L. Eskew Stearos. On November 29, 1954, he married the former Hanna Ricke, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter Christine Antel, of Cincinnati, OH; sons and daughters-in-law Bernard (Barbara) Stearos, Chillicothe; James (Sheila) Stearos, Frankfort; and Theodore (Alexi) Stearos, Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters: Josephine Felts, Sarah Lynch, and Effie Lazar. Mr. Stearos retired from the US Navy following over twenty years of service to his country. He later worked for the FCC and owned his own radio store. He was a member of the Ross Co. Exchange Club and the American Legion Post 62. Friends may call Friday from 5-7pm at the Haller Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
