Perry Andrews

Perry S. Andrews, 76, of Chillicothe, died at 8:00am Saturday, December 31, 2011, in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born September 11, 1935, in Jackson, OH to the late Brady and Golda Canter Andrews. On August 3, 1957, he married the former Wanda J. Burton, who preceded him in death on April 19, 2001. Surviving are his daughter Penny Andrews; daughter and son-in-law Julie (James) Mowery; grandchildren: Brandi Sanders, Ryan Mowery and Michael Mowery; a great-grandchild Ryot Sanders, all of Chillicothe; brother and sister-in-law Bill (Elizabeth) Smith, Columbus; and a sister Peggy Wells, of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by a brother Arthur "Andy" Andrews; and sisters Mildred Stephens and Rosalee. Perry retired from Scioto Township in 1997. He and his wife were also the co-owners of the Dairy Bar in Massieville. He was a member of the Ross Co. Conservation League, the S.A.L.T. Council and he had volunteered at Heartland of Chillicothe. Perry served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1953 until 1957. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, January 4, at Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Roop officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
