Penny S. Simmons Penny Sue (Boyer) Simmons, 42, of Kingston, passed into her new life at 7:50 pm, June 14, 2007 surrounded by her family and friends. She fought a long battle against ovarian cancer, and finally won. She is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Haller Funeral Home with Carl W. Lytle officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday. She was born August 1, 1964 to Donald E. Boyer and Irene (Russell) Boyer, whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents and a nephew. Surviving to cherish her memory are sisters, Patty (Jeff) Baldwin, of Kingston, Cathy (Greg) Knisley, of Chillicothe, Laqueita Evans, California; and a brother, Charles "John" Theresa Evans, of Reynoldsburg. She is also survived by Dave Simmons whom she married in 1993; stepdaughters, Jenny Simmons and Marcia Simmons, both of Chillicothe; a step-granddaughter, Taylor Elizabeth; nephews, Sean Fisher and Alvin Petty; nieces, Bell (Gary) Ross, of Chillicothe and Shannon Richmond, Carly Evans; seven great nephews; two great nieces; special friends, Melinda Wagner, Jenny Berry, Martha Mary Vaughn, Kristina Althouse and her son Tim Carl Jr., Harry and Janet Allen, Tim Stout and others too numerous to mention; many cousins whom she loved dearly. She truly touched many peoples' lives and gave all. She was a lover of animals and leaves behind her "children", as she referred to them, her cats, Boat aka Anthony, Doxol, Taxol, Mozart, Edwina, and Bethany; her parrot, Emily and her two dogs Delilah and her German shepherd and protector Madaline. Penny worked as operations manager at Sun T V for many years and most recently she was operations manager at H.H. Gregg until her illness. We will miss sharing life's joys special moments with you. Because of you we recognize the beauty in every day, how fragile life is, and the gift of giving without expecting anything in return. Your spirit and soul are our blessing today and everyday. There will never be closure as you will always be present in our minds and hearts. We love Penny Sue "Until we meet again."
