In the final chapter of the love story of Tom and Pauline Stanhope, she passed away peacefully July 16, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Pauline was born to John E. Miller and Grace Ethel Neff on Feb. 9, 1925. She married the love of her life Thomas M. Stanhope in 1943. They spent 60 wonderful years together. They had the joy of raising 4 beautiful children Cheryl (Michael Dennis), Thomas (Carolyn), Randall, Kevin (Michelle). Together they loved spending time with their grandchildren, Mindy, Mike, Missy, Candi, Heath, Jenni, Dawn, Richard, Shelley, Becky and Betsy and great grandchildren Meghan , Kevin, Michael, Ian, Andrea, Rylan, Calvin, Will, Alex, Ben, Ashlea, Abbey,Holden, Hannah, Layla, Carolina, Tom, Wes, Mitchell, Brooke, Gracie, Andrew, Derek and Quentin and their great-great-grandchildren Bryce, Emerson, Dulci. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Traylor; two nieces, Elaine and Janet and a nephew, John. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and a great-great-granddaughter Aubreigh. Pauline and Tom owned Stanhope's Superette in Chillicothe in the late 1950's and early 60's. Pauline was the oldest continuing member of The First Church of God, where she held many offices and was the pianist for 28 years. While raising her children, she was the member of many organizations in the community. She enjoyed traveling, winters in her Florida home, butterflies, flowers, and family time. Written to her family she said, "I may be gone, but I'll always be close to you if you keep me in your heart". Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the First Church of God. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
