Pauline Huffman

Pauline L. Huffman, 89, of Chillicothe, died at 8:45am Monday, September 17, 2012, in Chillicothe Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born June 30, 1923, in Montgomery, AL, to the late Jimmy and Louvenia (Brown) Thomas, Sr. On March 1, 1944, she married David Huffman, Jr., who preceded her in death on June 13, 1995. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandra (Victor) Cousins, of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Lekeitha Beverly, Chillicothe; Branndi (Comar) Smith, West Chester, OH; and Randall (Jennifer) Beverly, Chillicothe; great-grandchildren: Ashton Beverly, Jayden Beverly, Josiah Smith and Camiah Smith; brothers A.C. Thomas; and Jimmy (Emma) Thomas, Jr., both of Montgomery, AL; a step-daughter Vera Richardson; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; 2 surrogate daughters Marty Conley and Kathleen Sims; and many nieces and nephews including a special niece Sheralyn Lawson, of Dayton. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, 2 sisters and a step-daughter Mary Strong. Mrs. Huffman retired from the Cleveland School System where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a member of New Life Christian Church and of the Ross Co. Senior Citizens. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, September 22, at the New Life Christian Church, 1033 Dayton St., with Pastor Skip Cousins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon until 1pm Saturday at the church.
