Paula Ortman

Paula Jo Ortman, 58, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly in her home January 29, 2008. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00pm Tuesday, February 5, at the Alma United Methodist Church, US Route 23 South, Alma (Waverly), OH, with Rev. James Steele officiating. A reception will follow the service. Paula was born September 3, 1949, in Omega, OH, to Joe Paul and Nancy Whitt Rapp. Surviving are her son Andrew Spencer Ortman; her mother, Nancy Rapp; brother and sister-in-law Douglas (Charlene) Rapp, all of Chillicothe; brother Dennis Rapp, Pike Co.; a sister Anita Jane Allemann, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Pamela Ingram and Diana Carle; and her father. Paula was a graduate of Waverly High School, Class of 1967. She worked at the Chillicothe Gazette as a photographer and newsroom clerk, and was a former secretary for the Ross County Democratic Party. She loved photography, especially of animals. Memorial contributions may be made to Haller Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
