Paul Zickafoose

Paul E. Zickafoose, Sr., 61, of Chillicothe, died at 12:20am April 1, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended battle with cancer.   He was born December 30, 1961, in Chillicothe, to the late Oliver W. and Kathryn E. (Chaney) Zickafoose.  In September of 1980, he married the former Laura M. Kight, who survives.   Also surviving are his children: Sarah (Matthew) Fisher, of Yellow Springs, OH, Rebecca Zickafoose, Chillicothe, and Paul E. Zickafoose, Jr., Chillicothe; 9 grandchildren; his step-father Arthur Corkwell; a brother Caleb (Sherrie Vincent) Zickafoose, Chillicothe; his aunt Freda Sager; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew Heath Adam Zickafoose; and many friends including Eddie Kitner and Steve Edler.  He was predeceased by his father; his mother Kathy Corkwell; and is brother Tim Zickafoose.   Paul retired from the Local Union 189 Plumbers & Pipefitters.  He was a graduate of Huntington High School.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms, and riding his motorcycle.    His funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, April 6, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm Thursday at the funeral home.
