Paul E. Workman, 65, of Chillicothe, died 6:50 pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a two year battle with cancer. He was born December 26, 1945 in Hillsboro, OH to the late Russell and Stella Manker Workman. On October 18, 1970 he married the former Carolyn L. Shoemaker, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Erica (Frank) Gonzales, of Columbus, and Gina Workman, of Springfield, OH; two granddaughters, Carolina and Maya Gonzales; a sister, Sharon (Paul) Chaney, of Lynchburg; brothers, James (Brenda) Workman, of Zanesville, Larry (Sharon) Workman, of Goshen, and Richard (Bobbi) Workman, of Wilmington; his mother-in-law, Ruby Shoemaker; sisters-in-law, Barbara Smith and Cindy (Gary) Pitzer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sara Workman; a granddaughter, Sophia Gonzales; and his father-in-law, Frank Shoemaker. Paul was an account supervisor with Western-Southern Life Insurance Company. He was a board member and past-president of Frontier Community Services; a former member and officer of the Frankfort and Circleville Lions Club; a member of the Pricetown Church of Christ; and attended the Adena Road Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the Haller Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Monday at the Barker Cemetery, Pricetown, OH. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to Adena Heath Foundation, Cancer Fund, 272 Hospital Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
