Paul Woods

Paul Ronald Woods, 82, passed away on January 24, 2020, at his residence in Chillicothe.   He was born May 27, 1937, in Ross Co., to the late James and Mabel Ruth (O'Harrah) Woods. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Agnes L. (Pitts) Woods; 2 step-children; four brothers; and a sister.   He is survived by brothers Glenn Woods, of Chillicothe; and Robert (Brenda) Woods, of Pensacola, FL; a sister Patricia Roads, of Salt Lake City, UT; a nephew Roddy (Stacy) Woods, with whom he resided; step-daughters Saymone Snyder and Julie Roush and their children: Daniel Woods-Rhys, Thorsson Vandal Snyder, Zachary Cotteril, Lori Motherwell, Andy Hull, Shane Hull; and numerous nieces and nephews.   Mr. Woods was a career US Navy Sailor who served during the Vietnam War. His Naval career took him to all corners of the world on numerous Navy warships. His last tour of duty was teaching Celestial Navigation for the Naval Officers Training Corps at Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He retired from active duty as Chief Petty Officer in August 1974. Following his Naval career, he worked at Greenfield Printing and Publishing Co. for 25 years.   At his request, cremation services will be held under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be memorial service and burial of the ashes at a later date.
