Paul Moore

Paul Gene Moore, age 76, passed away July 4, 2011 at Heartland Nursing Center after suffering from a long illness. Paul was born April 2, 1935 in Floyd Co., KY, to the late Beecher and Sarah Moore. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Miller Moore; two sisters, Irene Hay and Corene Moore. He is survived by one daughter, Pamela J. Moore, of Ray, and a son, Paul W. (Cindy) Moore, of Ray; two granddaughters, Heather Jenkins, of Ray, and Samantha (Nick) Kelly, Waverly; a brother, Richard (Betty) Moore, of North Ft. Myers, FL; three sisters, Opal Heaton, of Belton, MO, Betty Moore, of Piketon, and Diana (Jim) Cunningham, of Pataskala, OH; several nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and special friends Thelma J. Parks, Wayne and Jenny Conaway, and Debbie Clay, plus many other extended family members and friends. Paul retired from the Kenworth Truck Co. in 1997 after 21 years of service and enjoyed visiting with former co-workers from time to time. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday at the Haller Funeral Home, Pastor Butch Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Jackson Co. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made the Ross Co. Banking Center, C/O Debbie Clay, for the benefit of Samantha Moore Kelly and Nick Kelly.
