Paul Charles "Chuck" McKimmy, 67, of Chillicothe, OH, died at 7:33pm Tuesday, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following a long battle with cancer. He was born August 17, 1938, in Warren, OH, to the late Paul E. and Mary L. Smith McKimmy. In July, 1959, he married his high school sweetheart, the former Patricia A. Kemper, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law Kim and Robert Kelly; Shelley and Rick Howell, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren Cameron McKimmy; Janae and Desiree Kelly; Lyndsey and Tytan Howell; sister and brother-in-law Mary Cloe and Dave Bowen, Troy, MI; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Shirley Lemaster; Linda and Dwight Massie; Kathy and Jim Snodgrass; and Steve Kemper, all of Waverly; and many nieces and nephews. Chuck retired from Mead Research where he worked for 33 years. He then worked for Martin Marietta in the laboratory where he retired in 2001. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Chuck was an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed all sports including golf, bowling, basketball and softball. He especially enjoyed watching sporting events with his grandchildren and rooting on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, March 17, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. James W. Grove officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly.
