Paul Greathouse

Rev. Paul O. Greathouse, 77, of Chillicothe, passed away at 1:40am Saturday, February 4, 2006, in Pleasant Hills Nursing Home, Piketon. He had been in failing health for several years. He was born February 26, 1928, in Buchanan, OH, to the late Charles R. and Anna Bolden Greathouse. On March 25, 1944, he married the former Betty Dennewitz, who preceded him in death on January 4, 2001. On September 22, 2001, he married the former Sarah Jane Detty, who survives. Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Paul T. (Phyllis) Greathouse; daughter and son-in-law LaDonna J. (David) Miner, all of Chillicothe; step-daughters Dianna Roll and Debra Damron, both of Chillicothe; and Ernestine Janie (Greg) Chess, Ft. Wayne, IN; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; sisters Mildred Graves, Chillicothe; and Dollie Salley, Mecon, GA; brothers Henry Greathouse, Springboro, OH; and Phil (Imogene) Greathouse, Chillicothe. In addition to his first wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister Delphia Lockard and his brother Louis Greathouse. Paul retired from Mead Paper after 43 years. He pastured for over 40 years with the Church of Christ and Christian Union. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, February 8, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Viar officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8pm Tuesday at Haller Funeral Home.
