Paul W. Dean, 94, of Chillicothe, formerly of Columbus, went to home with the Lord at 4:10am August 10, 2015, in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born July 28, 1921, in Columbus, OH, to the late Will and Iva (Miller) Dean. On December 24, 1945, he married the former Lois Johnson, who survives. Also surviving are their children and spouses: David (Connie) Dean, Pastor of Brookside Church, Chillicothe; Marilyn (Denver) Dodrill, of Athens, OH; and Jeanette (Daniel) Swetnam, of Dublin, OH; grandchildren: Heather (Jason) Dooley; Michelle (Jeremy) Hawk; Jonathan (Emily Heitzman) Dodrill; Jeremy (Ashley) Swetnam; Laura Swetnam; Andrew Swetnam and his fiancée Jennifer Scott; great-grandchildren: Zachary, Noah and Liam Dooley; Eily and Malakai Hawk; and Eleanor Swetnam, expected to be born October 7. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Robert Dean, of Columbus. Paul was an honorably discharged WWII Army Veteran. He was a retired supervisor with North American Aviation, which later became Rockwell and eventual taken over by Boeing. He was a member of Brookside CCCU. The family would like to give special thanks to Suzie Swackhammer who provided loving care for Paul over the last year. Funeral services will be held at 7pm Friday, August 14, at Brookside CCCU, 2215 Egypt Pike, Chillicothe, with Rev. David Dean and Denver Dodrill officiating. Military graveside services will be held at 11am Saturday in Sunset Cemetery, Galloway. Friends may call Friday from 4-7pm at Brookside. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
