Paul E. "Bing" Bettendorf Paul E. "Bing" Bettendorf, 72, of Chillicothe, died 3:55 pm, Saturday, July 19, 2008 in the Mt. Carmel West Medical Center, following a brief illness. Family and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated 1:00 pm Tuesday, in St. Mary Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the St. Mary Church Family Life Center following the burial. He was born November 4, 1935 in Sparta, WI, to Paul E. and Helen W. Witt Bettendorf. On July 28, 1956 he married Norma J. Trader Bettendorf, who survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Paul Stephen (Kimberly) Bettendorf, and David Anthony (Debbie) Bettendorf, all of Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren, Tracy (Brandon) McBee, Hadee, Trader, Dalton and Tori Bettendorf; 4 great-grandchildren, Allie Huddleston, Hayden, Ryder and Payton McBee; 3 sisters, Helen Mercer, Betty (Charles) Lawhorn, and Sue Ellen Bettendorf; and 2 brothers, Gilbert and Mike Bettendorf. Bing retired from the Mead Paper Company. He was a member of St. Mary Church and the Paper Workers Union Local 731. Bing served in the US Air Force Reserves. He enjoyed volunteering at the VA Golf Course. When he wasn't playing golf or gardening, he was spending time with his grandchildren.
