Paul Basye

Funeral: Military Tribute 3:00 pm Wednesday at the American Legion Post 757 Paul D. Basye, 78, of Chillicothe, died 3:21 pm, Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the Adena Regional Medical Center.   He was born October 30, 1932 in Chillicothe to the late Samuel W. and Carlie Tackett Basye.   Survivors include his life partner, Mary Stockey, Chillicothe; 2 sons, Paul (Debbie) Bayse, Bainbridge, and Ronald (Cynthia) Basye, South Carolina; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Eleanor (Robert) Bell, South Carolina and Barbara (Eldon) Smith, Chillicothe; 3 brothers, Rodger (Carol) and Michael (Joanne) Basye, both of Chillicothe and Richard (Connie) Basye, South Carolina.   He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.   Mr. Basye was a US Army Korean War veteran.   He worked in building maintenance for several companies including University Arms and Heritage Way apartments.   He was a member of the American Legion Post 757, AMVETS Post 4, VFW Post 108, and the Moose Lodge.   A military tribute, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard, will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday at the American Legion Post 757.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co. Senior Citizen Center.
