Patricia Ann Steppe, 70, of Chillicothe, won her battle with Dementia, on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Valley View Care Center in Frankfort. She was born January 5, 1948, in Ross County, to the late Bill and Viola Mae (Johnson) Newsome. On October 17, 1969, she married Roger Lee Steppe in Clintwood, Va, and together they shared 48 happy years. In addition to her husband, surviving are their children, Teressa L. (Chris) Ramby, of NC, Thomas E. Reed, Jr., of Waverly, Roger L. (Paula) Steppe, Jr., of KY, and Jennifer G. (Randy) Howard, of Waverly; ten grandchildren, Steven Chance Ramby, Isaiah Cole Ramby, Tyler T.A. Reed, Peyton Reed, Aiden Reed, Madison N. Steppe, Jacob G. Steppe, T.J. McCreary, Danielle McCreary, and Joey McCreary; four siblings, Steven (Joyce) Newsome, Rita M. (Johnny) Stephens, Susan G. Newsome, and Melody R. (John) May; and a sister-in-law, Eva Newsome. In addition to her parents, Tish was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Newsome, and two sisters, Bonnie E. Newsome, and Donna H. Newsome. Tish worked as a gemologist for nearly 10 years at Colston Fine Jewelry in Centerville, Ohio. During her time there she loved designing custom pieces for her clients. She enjoyed many hobbies, however she excelled in painting and was very artistic. She also loved being outdoors, going fishing, cooking and entertaining guests during the holidays. Her greatest passions in life however, were her family and church. She was always very active within the church and enjoyed playing in the church softball leagues. Most recently, she was a member of the Open Door Church in Chillicothe. Her family will forever remember all of her hard work, her love, and her kindness. She will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Pfeifer officiating. Burial will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens, Pike County.
