Patricia Pratt

Patricia A. Pratt, 79, of Chillicothe, died at 12:05pm Saturday, September 22, 2012, in Chillicothe Nursing & Rehab Center following an extended illness. She was born August 27, 1933, in Kermit, WV, to the late Irvin L. and Grethel (Evans) Bridgewater. On January 10, 1959, she married Joseph W. Pratt, who survives. Also surviving are her son Joseph L. Pratt, of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law Grethel A. (Larry) Baker, Chillicothe; grandsons Trevor and Nicholas Pratt, both of Tampa, FL; a brother Irvin L. Bridgewater III, Huntington, WV; and a niece and nephew. Mrs. Pratt graduated from Marshall College and was an English and Speech teacher. She began her career at the former Centralia High School, then to Kingston Schools and finished her teaching at Zane Trace High School. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of Delta Zeta Epsilon Sorority. At her request, cremation services will be handled under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, October 6, at the First Presbyterian Church, 13 Mead Dr., with Rev. James Grove officiating.
