Patricia Ann (Madru) DePugh, loving daughter of Charles Bernard and Nancy Jane (Travis) Madru, born December 22, 1938, went peacefully at home to be with the Lord, the angels and all her loved ones, who she has missed so much, on Wednesday March 9th 2011 after her brave battle with cancer. She was married to Michael Paul DePugh on April 8th 1961, who she has missed since his own passing September 7th 2005. They are both survived by his loving mother/ her loving mother-in-law Mary Martha (Collins) DePugh; three loving children Danny Lee & Creta K. (Shoemaker) Corrigan of Englewood, Fl.; Dennis Michael DePugh and Paula Knight of Chillicothe; Kathleen Theresa DePugh of Chillicothe; who found great joy in her mother's caregiving; three beautiful granddaughters: Kaycie Ann DePugh of Lima, OH; Kaitlyn Paige Corrigan, of Englewood, FL. She has now joined her first granddaugter Amber Megan DePugh; surviving one great grandson Andrew Michael Paul Miller. Patty is survived by her loving sybillings: David Clarence and (Barbara Jean Hanks) Madru of Chillicothe; Linda Carol (Madru) and (Roger) Gray of Chillicothe; Stephen Paul Madru of Chillicothe. Predeceased by her father Charles Bernard Madru and Mother Nancy Jane (Travis) Madru; father-in-law John Lawrence DePugh; sister Barbara Mae (Madru) and brother-in-law Charles Wiley Turpen; brother Charles Bernard Madru Jr.; also a special friend and sister-in-law Florence Marilyn (Corrigan) DePugh. Surviving in-laws Alvin Earl (Jeannie) DePugh; Larry Alden DePugh; John Patrick (Linda) DePugh and their families; several loving nieces and nephews "The Turpens" Charlie & (Becky), Robert, Melissa & (Raul), Raul Charles, Angelina (Eric Tyree) Corona, "The Gray's/Diehl's" Bobbi & (Johnathan) Kirch, Bethany & (Mark) Copas, Shawn & (Suzanne), "The Madru's" Judy, Blake, Kera, Jenny & (Pat) Miller, James David & (Beth), Brandy. She had many, many special friends: her soul sister Ann (Bert) and husband Ralph (Champ) Robinson and children, Dorothy (Dottie) Overly, and Linda Gray of Dayton Ohio. She was an active member of St. Mary's parish throughout her life and dedicated her life to helping others. She donated to countless charities and organizations including: The Bishop's Annual Appeal, The American Red Cross, Feed the Children, The American Cancer Society, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, The Humane Society, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Guidepost Foundation, March of Dimes, American Diabetes Association, Salvation Army, American Bible Society, Girls & Boys Town, The Omaha Home for Boys, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Prevention of Animal Cruelty, Susan G. Komen Society, St Jude's Shrine. She was also a member of The Christian Appalachian Project, AMVETS and many other organizations too numerous to mention. She found her joy in giving endlessly and helping others. Patty has bequeathed her body to the Medical College of Ohio University. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Saturday, March 12, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant.
