Patricia Coppel

Patricia E. Coppel, 90, of Chillicothe, died 4:35 am, Thursday, March 27, 2014, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.   She was born June 16, 1923 in Akron, OH to the late Clyde and Sarah "Sally" Landis Evans. On September 25, 1944 she married Donald F. Coppel Sr., who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Donald F. "Pete" (Lisa C.) Coppel Jr., Austin, TX and Stephen D. (Lisa A.) Coppel, Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Joe, Sam, Christopher, Madison, Kelli and Cole Coppel; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Coppel, and a grandchild, Landis M. Coppel.   Mrs. Coppel studied English at Denison University where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She attended the First Presbyterian Church, and formerly worked at the Thrift Shop.   Private funeral services will be held at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. James Grove officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:30-6:30 pm Sunday at the Elks Lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nationwide Children's Hospital, 700 Children's Dr., Columbus, OH, 43205 or the donor's favorite charity.
