Patricia Beatty

Patricia L. Beatty, 69, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 11:46am January 13, 2022, at Adena Regional Medical Center.   She was born September 7, 1952, in Chillicothe, to the late David, Sr. and Mabel M. (Thomas) Moody.  On September 16, 1972, she married Hal E. Beatty, who survives.   Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Charity (Mark) Maughmer, of Memphis, TN; sons Chad Beatty and Hal "Muscles" Beatty II, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Chanel Maughmer, Shanice (Hanalei) Harris, Micah (Nicholas) Broom, Chad Beatty II, Caleah Beatty, Mikayla (Loreana) Gonz, Jayden Beatty, Tevaugn Beatty, Halee Beatty, Malachi Beatty and Hal Beatty III; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Diana (Larry) Grant, Dorothy (Lawrence) Garnes and Debora Moody; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter-in-law Karice Beatty, great-granddaughter Samara Maughmer; and brothers David Moody, Jr. and James Moody.   Patty was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1970, and earned her bachelor's degree from Ohio University.  She had worked at Sears and at RCA.  She then worked as and retired as a Ross Co. Sheriff Deputy.  She was an active member of the Original Glorious Church serving in many capacities and loved singing in the choir.  While her health permitted, she loved to sew and bake.   Her Home Going service will be celebrated at 1pm Saturday, January 22, at Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Maughmer officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm Saturday at the church.
