Pamela Kay McNish, age 68 of Chillicothe, passed away at home on Friday, May 5, 2017 following a seven year battle with cancer. 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."   She was born in Clinton, Indiana on July 13, 1948, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Jane (Ward) Clodfelter. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mark A. McNish, daughter Sherry (Michael) Frontz of Mansfield, Ohio, son Jason (Beth) Sims of Clarksville, Tennessee, step-children Danielle McNish (Brad Minney) of Pike County, and Mark E. (Kasey) McNish of Bainbridge, Ohio; grandchildren James and Julia Frontz, Sadie, Maxwell, and Audrey Sims, Brandon Gaines, Hailey Minney, Bryce Cunningham, Nick , Mark E. II, and Jace McNish; her brothers Tommy and Brian Clodfelter; sisters Beth Clodfelter, and Teresa Dean, and several nieces and nephews. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Patricia Clodfelter, Mary Jane and John Stafford, mother-in-law Kathleen McNish, and father-in-law Robert McNish.   After graduating from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1966, Pam began her career in the telecommunications industry with Indiana Bell. Pam was a homemaker and a loving mother, returning to a career in telecommunications with Horizon Telephone (formerly The Chillicothe Telephone Company). She worked for29 years with Horizon starting in operator services and holding positions as a network technician and in business systems.   Pam's knowledge of telephone systems and love of service to her community transitioned into her serving as the Ross County 911 Coordinator and Clerk for the Ross County Sheriff's Office for 11 years. She was truly honored to serve with the brave men and women in the Sheriff's department. The family wishes to express appreciation to Pam's coworkers at the Ross County Sheriff's Department and dear friends for their support during her illness.   Always ambitious, Pam's hard work ethic was evident to all who knew her. Her love for family and friends was unconditional and unwavering. She cherished time with loved ones especially her children and grandchildren and delighted in celebrating holidays and special occasions. Pam had a generous spirit and enjoyed blessing others by giving gifts. She will be remembered for her independent, giving, and gracious spirit.   A memorial service will be held 11:30 am Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rev. Carol Davis officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 13 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at Haller's. Pam's wishes were to be cremated and the family will have a private service at a future date.
