Pamela D. McGarvey

Pamela D. (Woodruff) McGarvey, 74, of Chillicothe, passed away late Friday evening, June 5, 2026, at Westmoreland Place following an extended illness.

She was born September 7, 1951, daughter of the late Gilbert E. and Hazel (Winks) Woodruff. On July 26, 1975, she married her beloved husband, Steven McGarvey, who preceded her in death January 8, 2020.

Surviving is her daughter, Stacie (Jason) Daugherty; her brother-in-law, Jim Skinner; her best friend, Mary (Mike) Spindler; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Skinner; and her two brothers, Larry Woodruff and Ronald Woodruff.

Pamela worked as JCPenney for many years before retiring. She also worked at the Adena Regional Medical Center in housekeeping before her illness prevented her.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family from 12:00pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, friends and family members are welcome to make a donation to an organization that benefits animals in Pam’s memory.
