Ovid Clary

Ovid Wesley Clary, 79, of Chillicothe, died 1:20 pm, October 18, 2018, at the Ohio State University Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was born January 31, 1939 in Vinton Co. to the late Sidney and Olivia Radcliff Clary. On November 29, 1969 he married Sharon J. Fay, who survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Natalie Massie, of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Maddie and Emma Massie; two brothers, Noah (Kathy) and Frank (Carolyn) Clary, both of Chillicothe; his children by a previous marriage, Rhonda Speakman, Ovid (Charlene) Clary II, Brenda (Chris) Fletcher, and all of their children, all of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.

Ovid was an over the road truck driver for Chillicothe Motor Express and a member of the Teamsters Union Local 413. He enjoyed doing anything outside, especially gardening and yard work. He was a Golden Eagle member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 600.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Tuesday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
