November 11, 1926 — March 25, 2015

Ova Lawrence Dillon, Jr., 88, of Chillicothe, passed from this life at 2:45pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at his home. He was born November 11, 1926, to the late Ova Lawrence, Sr. and Bertha (Kellough) Dillon. On April 7, 1945, he married Mary Elizabeth Chaney, who preceded him in death on March 22, 2008. Junior will be greatly missed by his son, Daniel (Connie) Dillon, of Clarksburg; three daughters, Joyce (Donald) Good, Mona (Ray) Keller, and Shirley (Dave) Williams, all of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Scott (Kellie) Keller, of Columbus, Christopher (Traci) Good, of Gallipolis, Joe (Tara) Williams, Seth (Rose) Keller, Bethany (Steve) Groves, Jeremy and Nathan Jenkins, all of Chillicothe; and his great-grandchildren, who brought great happiness to his life, Logan Taylor, Emma Keller, Jack, Cara, and Brody Williams, Zachary and Joshua Jenkins; a brother, Howard (Shirley) Dillon, of Chillicothe; and a sister, Evelyn Dean, of Springfield. In addition to his wife and parents, Junior was preceded in death by his sisters, Vivian, Roberta, and Marjorie; a brother, Bob, and a grandson, Bradley Williams. Although Junior previously attended Camelin Hill Community Church, he had been visiting several other churches in the area over the last several years. He was passionate about farming, loved raising his cattle, and enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends and family may call Saturday from 5:00-8:00pm at Haller's, and one hour prior to the service on Sunday. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness… (2 Timothy 4:7, 8) "…Well done, good and faithful servant!" (Matthew 25:21).
