Oscar “Jojo” Abella was born in Manila, Philippines. He was married for 50 loving years to Angeli Abella of Nagcarlan, Laguna. Together, they were blessed with four children: Josephine, Joan (Noli), Joseph (Ella), and Anjo (Ian), and nine cherished grandchildren: Peach, Kate, Justin, Alfonso, Felicity, Kenneth, JM, Micae, and Heaven. Jojo is survived by his sisters Vivian (Benjie) and Jean (Francis, deceased).
Known for his kind and gentle personality, Jojo was a devoted family man—a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time at home. In his leisure time, he loved watching YouTube fishing videos and cooking. A hardworking and dedicated man, Jojo worked at Eco Plumbers beginning in 2015. He was an active member of the “Lawin Boys” group and the Asian-American Group in Ross County. Jojo was a deeply religious man who faithfully attended church every Sunday at St. Mary's Queen of the Apostles Church in Chillicothe. His faith, kindness, and love for his family and community will always be remembered.
Visitaion will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Haller Funeral Home and Crematory from 10:00am - 1:00pm. A celebration of life will begin at 1:00pm.
