Ora Drummond

Ora O. Drummond, 86, of Chillicothe, died 12:15 pm, Tuesday, January 04, 2011, at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was born July 17, 1924 in Chillicothe to the late Oran A. and Blanche A. Schofield Ramsey. On July 31, 1945 she married the late Charles L. Drummond, who died April 17, 2010. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Haines and Joyce (Ted) Click, both of Chillicothe; 3 grandchildren, Amanda (Arin) Peters, Ethan Haines, and Joseph Click; a great-grandchild, Karlie Peters; 2 sisters, Dorothy Stout and Martina Ramsey, both of Chillicothe; 2 brothers, David and Paul Ramsey, both of Chillicothe; and several nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; 3 sisters, Mildred McKee, Esther Conaway, and Alice Ramsey and a twin brother, Oran Ramsey. Mrs. Drummond was a clerk with the Moore's Department Store. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Mt. Logan Riding Club. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending events held by the Ross Co. Agricultural Club and the Ross Co. Shrine Club with her husband. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed fishing, and trips to Canada with her husband. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday at Haller's.
