Opal Wood

Graveside Funeral Services : 1:00 pm Monday, Little Mound Cemetery Opal V. Wood, 96, of Chillicothe, died 5:28 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Heartland of Chillicothe.   She was born July 2, 1915 in Ross Co. to the late Pearl and Bessie Cash.   She married John H. Wood Jr., who died in June of 1970.   Survivors include a son, John (Beatrice) Wood, of Tornado, WV; four grandchildren, Butch (Rebecca) and Keith (Nancy) Lyons, Joe and Jackie Wood; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Terry, of Jackson.   She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.   Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday in Little Mound Cemetery, Rev. James Taylor officiating.   Calling hours will not be observed.  Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Hospice, Adena Health Foundation, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
