Olivia Gamble

Olivia Mae Gamble, 89, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, died 11:15 pm, Sunday, July 15, 2018 at The Manor at Whitehall, following an extended illness.   She was born November 18, 1928 in Columbus to the late Rev. Melvin and Bertha Stevens Woodard. On July 31, 1948 she married Marvin L. Gamble, who preceded her in death on January 12, 1990. Survivors include two daughters, Sheri Rogers, Columbus and Dawn Edwards, Canal Winchester; a son, William Gamble, Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren, Danielle Dresbach, Brian Rogers, Stephen Penn, Michael Edwards, Lauren Edwards, Angela Wright, Olivia Michelle Mahan, and Matthew Gamble; 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Woodard and Rev. Melvin Woodard Jr.   Mrs. Gamble was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing, writing poetry and bowling.   Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Rev. Eric Carson officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service, at the church.
