Norma Massie

Norma Jean Massie, 83, of Chillicothe, passed away at 2:20pm on Monday, January 2, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born December 17, 1933, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Jesse F. and Gearoldine (Kuhn) Johnson. On July 20, 1971, she married Elza Sherman Massie, who preceded her in death on August 1, 2003. Norma is survived by her children, Debbie Jean (Steve) Wicker, of Beaver, Rev. Rocky Roberts, of Chillicothe, John (Kathy) Roberts, of Chillicothe, and Debbie Dean, of Hillsboro; her daughter-in-law, Beverly Massie, of Chillicothe; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Wayne Massie and Jessica Rankin, two siblings, Ellner J. Johnson and Robert D. Johnson, as well as a granddaughter and grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00am until the time of the service on Friday.
