Norma Knox

Norma Jean Knox, 74, of Circleville, died 11:50 am, Saturday, March 01, 2014, at the Genesis Care Center, Circleville. She was born August 6, 1939 in Chillicothe to the late Jesse and Jessie Wallin Dement. On October 13, 1961 she married the late Pete Knox, who died June 13, 2008. Survivors include three daughters, Lila Egan and Virginia (Jim) McCray, both of Chillicothe and Shelly (Giovanni Patete) Knox, of Circleville; seven grandchildren, Dana Hutton, Edward Egan, Amanda Byers, Angela McCray, Shannon Knox, Giovanni Patete Jr., and Tucker Knox; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gloria (David) Jacobs, of Chillicothe and Nancy Gentz, of Londonderry. She was preceded in death by a son, David; two sisters; and a brother. Mrs. Knox retired as a guard at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday in Londonderry Cemetery, Rev. Mitch Salyers officiating. Friends may call 5-7 pm Wednesday at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME.
