Norma Jean Cox, 79, of Chillicothe, died August 3, 2023 at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born February 15, 1944 in Springfield, OH to the late Ralph and Wilda Edwards Hanson. Survivors include 3 children, William J. Cox and Sandra D. Tyler, both of Chillicothe, and Kyle E. (Lucille) Cox, Elizabeth, WV; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; 7 siblings, Helen, Georgia, Judy, Ruth, Danny, John, and Jim; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Angela K. and Robin S. Cox; a sister, Doris; a grandson, Cory Cox; and her first husband, Roger Cox.
Norma loved music and was an accomplished singer and song writer. She was an avid supporter of the Christian Broadcast Network.
Following cremation, a private celebration of her life will be held.
