Norma Corcoran

Norma Jean "Sis" Corcoran, 85, of Chillicothe, daughter of Clarence Everett and Marcella (Raines) Strausbaugh, died peacefully on May 10, 2012, surrounded by many who loved her. Norma Jean was born April 11, 1927, and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Corcoran and her daughter Sharma Jo Hickman. She is survived by her children: Deborah (Richard) Liebe, Mike (Jane nee. Bryson) Corcoran, Terry (Jackie Maas) Corcoran, Mark (Ann nee. Sullivan) Corcoran, Jan (David) Landman, Lora (Pete) Kidnocker; her son-in-law Howard Hickman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends including special friends Bob Hoselton, Jeffey and Debbie Hice, John Daubert, Dave Crowe, George Stepp, and her feline friend "Iddy Bit." Sis was a member of the Elks, Lodge 52; the VFW, Post 108; the AMVETS, Post 4; American Legion, Post 62 and the E Pluribus Unum Club. Following cremation, graveside services will be announced at a later date to be held in Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. At her request, there will be no funeral service or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either: The OSU Ross Heart Hospital, 410 W. Tenth Ave., Columbus, OH 43210; or the Unverferth House, 190 King Ave., Columbus, OH 43210.
