Nola Angeline Meade was born March 15, 1915, in Magoffin County, KY, to Wannie Clay and Mary Alice (Wheeler) Meade. Both parents died in the flu epidemic of 1918 and Nola and five of her siblings were taken to an orphanage sponsored by the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, which her father belonged to. This orphanage was in Tiffin, OH. All six children who were sent to the orphanage valued the good education and moral values they learned there. One sister, Eulah, was only a baby and could not go with them. She was raised by family members. On August 17, 1938, she married Delbert W. Lemaster and together they had three children: Darryl (Frankie) LeMaster of Boynton Beach, FL; Chloe (Jim) Schauseil, of Chillicothe; and a daughter Gloria Jean Lemaster, who died as a child. In addition to her son and daughter, she is survived by grandchildren: Darryl (Debbie) LeMaster, Ft. Myers, FL; Robin (Mike) Thompson, Boynton Beach, FL; Tracy (David) Bonilla, Flowery Branch, GA; Stephen (Deanne) Schauseil, Canal Winchester; and Gina (Brad) DePoy, Chillicothe; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 new great-granddaughter due in February 2008. In addition to her husband, daughter and parents, she was predeceased by brothers Lloyd, Rollie, Tollie, and Albert Meade; and sisters Eulah Fairchild, and Chloe Baker. Mrs. Lemaster and her late husband were co-owners and operators of Lemaster's Grocery located on old Route 124 west of Jackson, OH from the mid 1950's until 1974 when they retired. They enjoyed knowing and serving their neighborhood all of those years. All who knew her knew she loved to cook and bake for her family and her love of beautiful flowers. She will be sadly missed.
