Niraj C. Patel

Niraj C. Patel, a computer engineer and life-long resident of Chillicothe, OH, died unexpectedly on May 20, 2026 at the age of 46.

Niraj is survived by his Mother Induben Chhaganbhai Patel; his wife, Yogini Niraj Patel; his daughter, Amira Niraj Patel; his Uncle, Dhirubhai Narottambhai Dhana Patel; and his Aunt, Harshidaben Dhirubhai Patel. His sister, Hema Patel; his Brother in Law Ureshbhai N. Patel; his neice Shreya Uresh Patel; and Shruti Uresh Patel. He is predeceased by his father Chhaganbhai Narottambhai Patel; his grandmother Rukhiben Narottambhai; and his grandfather Narottambhai Dhanabhai Patel.

Niraj was born in India on January 14, 1980 to Chhaganbhai and Induben Patel. He attended The Ohio State University in 2005 with a degree in Computer Engineering. He owned and managed a Hotel, gaining experience in both technology and hospitality operations. On January 5th 2010, he married Yogini Niraj Patel. On March 17, 2016 he welcomed his beautiful daughter, Amira Dhana Patel who became the most important part of his life. Including his love for his nieces and nephews: Shreya, Shruti, Inari, Xavia, Masai, Zayir, Kairo, Venture Leon.

Niraj was a devoted father and a selfless human-being. He enjoyed volleyball, being with loved ones and strangers alike and playing with children made him happy. He often played for local volleyball team. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult situation from everyone and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was not a very spiritual man however; he believed in being good and his purpose was to serve just like his BAPU.

He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on May 23 at Haller Funeral home 1661 Western Ave. Chillicothe, OH 45601.
