Nila Gray

Nila Eileen Gray, 68, of Chillicothe, died at 5:26 a.m., November 19, 2014 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born July 31, 1946, to the late Harold and Ruth (Barnhart) Nord. On January 26, 1973 she married Harold "Hal" Wayne Gray who survives. Also surviving are her children, Patricia Poling, James (Carrie) Gray, Susan (Don) Davis, Sheila (Danny) Downs, Guy (Jeannie) Gray, all of Chillicothe; and Wayne (Lisa) Gray, of Circleville; 10 granddaughters; 6 grandsons; 15 great-grandchildren; a loving brother, Harold (Frances) Nord, of Adelphi; a loving brother-in-law, Bill Gray, of Circleville; and a special niece who helped with everything, Cricket. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Ruth (Lew) Gillenwater; her mother-in-law, Elsie (Bill) Miller; her father-in-law, Harold (Berneeda) Gray; two brothers, Grant Aldridge and John Nord; a sister Nadeen (Paul) Stuart; and a granddaughter, Kera Weaver. Nila worked delivering food for the Ross County Senior Citizens for 8 years. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Chillicothe Chapter 2044. The Moose Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 3:00pm, followed by funeral services, on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Kingston Living Water Church with Pastor Jim Pollard officiating.
