Nicole Crawford

Nicole Renee (French) Crawford, 50, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday morning, April 19, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a courageous 6 year battle with ALS. She was born May 28, 1966, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Donald Bo and Johanna "Hansi" (Roetger) French. On June 16, 2001 she married Christopher L. Crawford who survives. Also surviving is their daughter, Johanna Maria Crawford, of Chillicothe; a brother, Gregory (Julie) French, of Greenville, SC; a niece, Lauren French, of New York City, NY; a nephew, Tyler French, of Providence, RI; her father-in-law, Tim Crawford; as well as numerous other cousins and friends, including her special friends, Joyce Norris, Mary Oney, and Al (Jill) Smith, all of Chillicothe. Nicole was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Oma Roetger, and paternal grandparents, Harold (Helen) French. Nicole worked as a school teacher for 18 years, teaching both high school and elementary school children. She was a lifetime member of the Calvary Lutheran church in Chillicothe. Nicole enjoyed spending time outdoors; however her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her beloved daughter, husband, family members, and dog Bruno. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Janet Hatch officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview cemetery. Friends may call from noon on Sunday until the time of the service.
