Nickcola A. Carter, Chillicothe, Ohio born on September 28, 1955 at Great Lakes Naval Base, Chicago, IL to the late Mildred and Millard Cunningham, died March 21, 2024 following an extended illness.
Nicky was a 1975 graduate of Chillicothe High School. On June 14, 1975 she married Anthony Carter. In addition to Tony she is survived by her children, Seanne (Lina) Carter, of Aurora, Colorado, Dannielle Carter, and Miles Carter, both of Chillicothe; her granddaughter, Sarah Carter, of Chillicothe; her siblings, Janet (Rita Fuchsman) Cunningham, and her brother Philip Cunningham, all of Chillicothe. She is also survived by her niece, Kaitlyn Cunningham, of Boca Raton, Florida, nephew, Christopher Cunningham of Weirton, West Virginia, brothers-in-law Russell Carter and Mark Carter both of Chillicothe, and her lifelong friend Tina Gothard Trim, of Columbus. Through Sarah she gained "extra grandchildren" Haylee Stevens and Alex Oxenham as well as many others who call her granny and loved her very much.
She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Peggy Cunningham.
Nicky was an avid NASCAR fan and named her beloved dachshund Winston. She enjoyed being outside, cooking, and family trips to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no funeral. A celebration of her life will be held by the family at a later date. Haller Funeral Home is serving the family.
