Naomi Darlene Ramey, 78, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday evening, October 21, 2022 at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born March 19, 1944 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Rev. Homer Cletus and Virginia Pearl (Boler) Smith. On August 8, 1990, she married Marvin Ray Ramey, who survives.
Also surviving are her children, Kevin (Brenda) Park, Theresa (Gary) Blazer, and Gary (Sherry) Park, Jr.,; step-children, Todd (Kristy) Ramey, and Mark (Kathy) Ramey; grandchildren, Brandy (Chad Hadlock) Hatfield, Codey Hatfield, Tyler (Harleigh) Blazer, Chris Blazer, Amanda Blazer, Jamie (Dustin) Barker, Lisa (Shane) Gragg, Courtney Webb, Jossie (Carlos) Dominguez, Genna (Caleb) Green, Anna Ramey, Mark Allen (Amber) Ramey, and Becky (Lance) Duncan; 28 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and her siblings, Gay (Doug) Fyffe, Diana (Fred) Brown, and Ted Fickisen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Karrie Jo Ramey; a great-granddaughter, Lennyx Naomi Blazer; and her brother, Lacy Ira Smith.
Naomi was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1962. She went on to work at Big Bear and Community Market in Central Center as a cake decorator for 35 years before retiring at its closing. She was also a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service on Tuesday.
