Nancy Mcdaniel

Nancy L. McDaniel, 72, of Chillicothe, is resting peacefully as of 7:55pm November 9, 2005, following a 19 year battle with cancer. She was born October 3, 1933, in Chillicothe. On October 25, 1986, she married Lt. US Navy Ret. Wadsworth "Mac" McDaniel, who survives. Also surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Janice (Dennis) Whitmire, of Worthington; Michelle (Lester) Reed, Frankfort; daughter Jackie Conley, Chillicothe; son Duane Ragland, MD, of Bowie, MD; grandchildren: Alaine Whitmire, Steven Ragland, David Ragland, Tonya Bayless, Shelby Hitchens, Shanelle Reed, Schae Reed, and Adam Conley; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister Josephine Valentine; brothers and sisters-in-law Roger (Sandra) Valentine and Richard (Melonie) Valentine; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Jeannette (Johnson) Valentine; her step-father Robert Valentine, Sr.; brothers Robert Valentine, Jr., and Doyle Johnson; and a sister Mary Mischal. Mrs. McDaniel worked as a LPN at the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She was a member of Floral Baptist Church and one of the first members of Concord Twp. EMT's. Everyone is welcome to her graveside services, 12:00pm Monday, November 14, in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Steve Ragland officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 3-5pm at Haller Funeral Home.
