Nancie Lynn Arbaugh, 67, of Chillicothe, died August 1, 2022, at the Ohio State University Medical Center, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born June 15, 1955, in Chillicothe to the late William and Malisa Stamper Carter. On June 12, 1976, she married the love of her life, Glendon Arbaugh, who died March 30, 2021. Survivors include three daughters, Twylla Arbaugh, Ironton, Sarah Arbaugh (Jeremy Barrick), Chillicothe, and Hannah (Alberto) Arbaugh Leong, Columbus; Stepsons Jason Arbaugh and Josh Arbaugh; four grandchildren, Ethan Arbaugh, Maverick and Piper Frump, and Annaliese Johnson; two sisters, Patricia (Rex Johnston) Inman, Lake Mary, FL and Debbie Hunt, Troy, OH; and two nieces, Robyn Anderson and Shannon Hunt-Stokey. Nancie retired from the VA Medical Center-Chillicothe on April 2, 2016, where she worked in various departments during her 37 dedicated years of employment. She enjoyed spending her free time volunteering at Elizabeth's Hope, baking, gardening, camping, fishing, and shopping. However, her favorite times were those spent with her children and grandchildren. Her mantra was always, "You do for God first, then for family". She lived a life of serving others with a smile on her face, that was her purpose and her God given gift. She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm August 20, 2022, Pastor John Welch officiating. ??The family will receive friends at the church from 12-1pm, prior to the Celebration of Life. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Wesleyan Church.
