Myron C. Lynch Myron C. "Corby" Lynch, 90, of Chillicothe, died 1:32 am, Saturday, December 1, 2007, in his home, unexpectedly. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Thursday in the Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday in the Haller Funeral Home. He was born June 19, 1917 in Chillicothe to George and Edith Hammond Lynch. On June 9, 1941 he married Wilda L. Bayless, who died September 5, 2000. Survivors include four daughters, Wilda (James) Arnold, of Westerville, Paula Teacher, Diane Smith, and Jill (Lanny) Smith, all of Chillicothe; a son, Jeff (Jannette) Lynch, of Chillicothe; a daughter-in-law, Naomi Lynch, of Burke, VA; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Annabelle Davis, Bonnie Gregory, Mary Ellen Wright, and Marcella Fost; a brother, Don Lynch; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Myron Jr. and James Lynch; two granddaughters; and nine brothers and sisters. Mr. Lynch was a World War II Army Veteran. He retired from the Carver Community Center in 1969 and Mead Paper in 1982. He was a member of Quinn Chapel AME Church, Janus 54, the Cavalier Club and the American Legion Post 757. Mr. Lynch was inducted into the CHS Athletic Hall of Fame and received the Award of Merit, the only individual to receive both. He enjoyed bowling in several local leagues and was a disk jockey, chaperone, and a Boy Scout leader.
