Moses Ravipaty

September 30, 1932 — May 15, 2015

Rev. Dr. Moses Premanandam Ravipaty, 82, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord at 3:42pm, May 15, 2015, following an extended illness. He was born September 30, 1932, in Ongole, India, to the late J. Paul and Santoshamma Ravipaty. Surviving are his children: Caleb (Usha) Rayapati, of India; Dr. Lois (Dr. Sathish) Jetty, of Chillicothe; Doris (Martin J.) Sadanala, of Orlando, FL; John Paul (Suchitha) Ravipaty, of Melbourne, Australia; grandchildren: Vybhav, Acsha, Abner, Kirthi, Grace, Shaina, Karissa, Vijji, Jonathan, Moses Micah, Nathan; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Vijayalaxmi Talluri Ravipaty; an infant daughter; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Moses was truly a man of God and did not know a stranger. He was an active member at Tabernacle Baptist Church for the past several years until due to his health he became house bound. He just loved the Lord and anything he did in his life was about glorifying his Master. Early on in his life as a young man he resigned his secular job as a Principal of a High School - heeded to God's calling to Ministry and went to Seminary with his wife and 2 little children to train himself for the Lord's work. He first served as Evangelism Secretary for the Samavesham of Telugu Baptist Churches in India. He was a Pastor and helped plant several churches in villages in the remote parts of India. He was also honored by one of the villages being named after him "Premanandapuram." He served as Registrar for Bharath Bible College in Hyderabad India. After his beloved wife of 37 years Vijayalaxmi passed away he came over to USA to live with his daughters. He enjoyed attending the activities that his grandkids participated. At Tabernacle Baptist Church he took an active part in Sunday School and teaching Bible Studies. With the Mission team he went on a Mission trip to Ukraine. He has served the Lord well and passed into Glory very peacefully. He surely can say without a doubt "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the Faith." Funeral services will be held at 6pm Tuesday, May 19, at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Schmidt officiating. Burial will be held in Narayanguda Baptist Church Cemetery, Hyderabad, AP, India. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-6pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 221 E. Main St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
