Monti Perry, 48, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 6, at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born August 23, 1968, in Chillicothe, the son of Dan and Candy (Pyle) Perry. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, whom he cherished, Jodi (Bayes) Perry; his daughter and son-in-law Gabrielle (Michael) Heiss, of Washington State; sons Tyler and Bryton Perry, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, who he adored, Matthew, Evan and Madeleine Heiss; his parents, Dan and Candy Perry; a twin-sister Marci (Craig) Teeters, all of Waverly; his in-laws Peta and Melvin Oliver, of Florida; and James and Judy Bayes, of Chillicothe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Adam (Aimee) Bayes, Chillicothe; Teri (Tim) Bailey, of Lancaster; Jennifer (Luke) Fout, of Trenton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Monti worked as a utilities relocation technician for ODOT, District 9. He was a graduate of Waverly High School, Class of 1985. Monti was a very active member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was loved by all. He never knew a stranger and was always ready and willing to help whoever needed him. Monti showed the love of God everyday by how he lived. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5297. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Saturday, August 13, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. William Hahn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 8pm. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to St. Peter Church, 285 Water St., Chillicothe.
