Mona Stevens

Mona L. Stevens, 85, died at 4:55am March 11, 2021, at NCR Traditions of Chillicothe.   She was born June 14, 1935, in Ross County to the late Raymond and Lillian L. (Bennett) Speakman. On November 15, 1954, she married Charles Raymond "Ray" Stevens, who preceded her in death on April 25, 2019.   Surviving are their children: Michael (Tawana) Stevens, Circleville; Jeffery Stevens (James Slone), Tampa, FL; granddaughters Stephanie Runyon, Rebecca (Larry) McFann and Amanda Stevens; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; a son-in-law Dan Flannery; a brother Herschel Speakman; a sister Jeanne (David) Stevens; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law Jean Glatting.   In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Cindy Flannery; a great-grandson Jacob Wolfe; and siblings: Jack W. Speakman, Helen L. Hall, Norman Speakman, William Speakman, Marvin Speakman, Leona Speakman, Harold E. Speakman, Wanda Tackett, and Marcella Speakman.   Mona was a member of the First Church of God. She and Ray enjoyed their church family and functions with the church as well as activities with the Mead Retirees group. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Traditions for their care of Mona.   Her funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, March 15, at the Haller Funeral home & Crematory with Pastor Matt Roe officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon until 2pm Monday at the funeral home.
