Michelle Rabbitt-Harding, 79, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away January 7th, 2026, surrounded by love. Her devoted husband, David O. Harding, who spent tireless hours lovingly caring for her was by her side. Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernice Rabbitt.
Michelle was a beloved mother to Ronald Michael Fewster (Jackie) and Lissa Marie (Fewster) Cleary (Vic), and a proud grandmother to Cory Coll, Dylan Fewster, Emma Cleary, Elizabeth Cleary, and Lauren Cleary. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She was born in Toledo, Ohio and grew up surrounded by a close-knit family. Michelle was blessed to be one of seven siblings whom she dearly loved: Michael Rabbitt (Kansas City, Kansas), Gary Rabbitt (Toledo, Ohio), Kathy Sundling (Toledo, Ohio), Debra Tormoehlen (Temperance, Michigan), Deanna Rabbitt (Fayetteville, North Carolina), and Monica Wagoner (Quinlan, Texas). She was an amazing aunt, sister, friend, volunteer, and person to all who knew her.
Michelle was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Waite High School in 1964. She made Chillicothe her lifelong home, where she devoted herself to serving the community through countless volunteer roles. Michelle was most proud of her service to the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center’s Crisis Hotline, where her compassion, patience, and selflessness helped countless individuals navigate life’s challenges. Her work there reflected her commitment to helping others and making a meaningful difference.
Known for her generous spirit and big heart, Michelle gave freely of her time and love. She was a proud and active member of the DAM Society, PEO and Hobby Club, where she formed lasting friendships and continued her passion for service.
Michelle’s kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to others will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Family and Friends are encouraged to join for a Celebration of Life at Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Avenue in Chillicothe, on Monday, January 19, from 5pm – 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center Crisis Hotline, in honor of Michelle’s lifelong commitment to serving others.
